Welcome to my Blog! In this space, I will share with you a few tips and tricks of the beauty world that I have learned along the way. First things first.. let me introduce myself. My name is Danielle Barone. I am a 30 something ( does that really matter 😜) wife, mother of two human babies and two fur babies. My journey into this beauty industry started when I was 18 years old and decided to pack up my belongings and move clear across the grand old USA. From the beautiful northeast New England.. to the amazing central coast of California.. I packed up my tiny two door coup and drove over 3000 miles with my big sis and her main squeeze. Between her suv and my little speed wagon, we somehow made it to our beautiful new home. No real plans in mind, only to be able to see palm trees on the daily. Now there’s so much more to that story, but fast forward to me flipping through the yellow pages.. yes yellow pages, (you see before google, there was this HUGE book that you would have to look up phone numbers for businesses and whatnot,) and I don't remember what I was looking for, however I do remember what I found. A half page ad for a near by beauty school. That was the beginning of my amazing career in the Beauty industry. The year was 2003 and I started school for my cosmetology license. Now I was living with my sister and brother in-law and we all had to pay our share. So beauty school took the back burner more than once. It wasn’t until fall of 2004 that I moved back to that small New England town with my other big sis ( thank GOD for my sisters!) that I was able to focus on completing my hours and graduate. June 2005 I passed my state boards and started working in a high end salon and spa. I was blessed. Even though I had no true vision of what or where I was heading.. I trusted the nudges I felt with in me. Now fast forward again and here we are, at least as I write this, fall of 2019 and I am 7 1/2 years into owning my own hair and makeup salon. I have worked along side some amazing stylist and makeup artist that have taught me so much and have given me inspiration and motivation when I needed it most.
